World Culture Activity Video: Egyptian Drum
Dance to the beat of your own drum!
Activity best for children age 3 and up
At the San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum we love learning about new cultures from around the world. Throughout the month of December, we have been exploring Egypt and Egyptian culture as a part of our Roots Series sponsored by the Nissan Foundation and the County of San Diego.
Music is an important part of many cultures. Music of all types can be enjoyed during festivals and celebrations, or in homes with family and friends. Today, we are going to learn about two common instruments played in Egypt and across the Middle East. If you had the chance to watch our virtual Roots: Egypt event a couple weeks ago, you may have even heard these instruments!
