STREAM Activity: Ice Cream Pom Pom Cone
Enjoy National Ice Cream Day with a sweet craft!

Ice Cream is the perfect sweet treat for this summer heat! What better day to enjoy it than on National Ice Cream Day? This fun holiday is celebrated on the third Sunday of July. Let’s make an ice cream cone out of cotton balls to celebrate this tasty day.

Materials:
White paper
Cotton balls
Glue
Pipettes
Water cups filled with water
Food coloring
Pencil
Markers
Crayons
Directions
Step 1
Gather all of the materials for your pom pom ice cream cone.
Step 2
Start by drawing an upside-down triangle and then draw diagonal lines inside to give it an ice cream cone look and color it in.
Step 3
Add glue to the top of your cone and then place the cotton balls on top.
Step 4
Now let’s add some color to our ice cream! Start by grabbing some cups of water and adding one drop of food coloring into the water.
Step 5
Next with a pipette, you will drop small water droplets on your cotton balls to give your ice cream some color.
Step 6
Once you finish your craft it is ready to give to your friends and family or keep it for yourself.
