Daily STREAM Activity: Glue Suncatcher
Create a suncatcher using glue!
Activity best for children age 3 and up
Today you will be creating beautiful suncatchers! These are easy to make and loads of fun! Your kids can experiment with colors while simultaneously making a lasting sun display.
Materials you’ll need:
Plastic lid (salsa, hummus, or yogurt lids work great)
Food coloring (we recommend at least 3 colors)
White glue
Toothpick or something similar to mix the glue
Hole punch
String
Directions
STEP 1
Pour a generous amount of glue into the plastic lid, swirling it around so the glue covers the whole surface evenly.
STEP 2
Add in two drops of each color of food coloring.
STEP 3
Swirl the food coloring into different patterns and designs using the toothpick. Let dry in the sun.
STEP 4
Once the glue is completely dry, you will be able to peel it out of the plastic lid. Create a hole near the top of your suncatcher, tie a piece of string through the hole, and enjoy your beautiful masterpiece!
