Fun Animal Friday Fennec Fox Craft

Create a fox inspired by December's Fun Animal Friday guest!

Activity best for children age 4 and up

Today we enjoyed a presentation with Pacific Animal Productions and met two very different animals who live in the desert. Both animals have hair, but use it in very different ways. One animal we met was Jasper, the fennec fox, and his hair is the same color as sand. This is a special adaptation that helps him blend in with his surroundings. When an animal has markings or colors that match their surroundings, we call that camouflage! For the craft today we are going to make a fennec fox inspired by our new furry friend.

STEP 3
Keeping your finger on the middle triangle point, open one half of the triangle and crease it to form an ear. Do the same thing to the other half of the triangle. Use a little glue in the middle to keep the ears open.

STEP 4
Now you have your fox head and can add eyes and a nose with a drawing tool. You can also cut them from paper and glue them onto your fox’s head.
